Junior Welfare Society is a not-for-profit charitable organization founded in 1955 and dedicated to improving the quality of life in Broward County. Our mission is to help residents bridge the gap between despair and hope by offering stabilizing assistance to families and individuals who are undergoing a crisis or experiencing an unexpected financial setback. This all-volunteer group raises money to offer a unique service in Broward County--we furnish readily available funds for emergency, onetime-only use for those who are in need. When other sources of funding have run out, when there is a waiting period before government programs will take effect, when all other alternatives have been exhausted and help is needed immediately, Junior Welfare Society can offer the emergency assistance needed to help bridge the gap between despair and hope.
